Since it’s a last minute booking, unfortunately that means that Dr Wallin must sit out the show. So this will be a rare occasion to see us performing as a quartet, no less gory though.

We’re celebrating the re-release and the 20th anniversary of the Necrology EP on Saturday November 12 at Kulturhuset, Stockholm.
Also on the bill are Grave who are playing their legendary first album in its entirety, along with Vicious Art who are playing their final show.

Expect a Necrology-heavy set from yours truly plus maybe a some new treats. We’ll see what happens.

GENERAL SURGERY: ‘Necrology’ To See Official Re-Issue

Relapse Records will re-issue GENERAL SURGERY’s 1991 debut EP Necrology this June. The long-out-print EP has been completely remastered by Scott Hull and repackaged with three previously unreleased bonus tracks. The Necrology re-issue will be available on June 21st on CD and digitally and is up for pre-order now at this location.

GENERAL SURGERY, one of the first bands to carry on along CARCASS’ gore-grind path, formed in 1988. After releasing Necrology, the band was mostly inactive until 2003 when they began recording and touring again.”

Not only will the EP be re-relase on CD with bonus tracks (all three songs from Demo 2 1990), the same tracks will also come out on a limited 10″ vinyl later in the year.

The 20th year celebration of the Necrology EP goes on and we have decided to perform it in its entirety at Obscene Extreme Festival for all you demented splatterfreaks out there.
This is only the second time this has happened, and will most likely be the last for a long time so don’t miss out!

The Obscene Extreme crew has asked us for a short meet and greet session and of course we are down with that. Immediately after our set (21.35 – 22.35 on Thursday July 15th) we will set up next to the stage and we will be there for an hour or so.

So bring your decayed limbs, assorted body parts, money, cameras and/or special editions of your favourite General Surgery stuff and whatnot.
In turn, we will bring you the latest news in Swedish gorefashion, as well as blood, corned beef, CDs and LPs for those interested in spending your hard earned cash on us.
